At the age of only 43 in 1969 Julie London ( 1926-2000 )retired from recording , although she had recorded some 30 albums in the period 1955 to 1969. Her version of the Mighty Quinn is taken from her final album Yummy Yummy Yummy released in November 1969. In the last 30 years of her life her only recording was a solitary song in 1981 - My Funny Valentine for the Burt Reynolds film Sharky`s Machine .
